I have been in the exact same situation several times. Perhaps I am not over her yet. Maybe I am kind of in the greyland.

Maybe I have already moved on. The phone call can go in many directions, but in my experience most often it leads to a rather pleasant conversation. You strike up some old memories, laugh and underneath it all, there still lies some sexual tension. When you hang up, you feel good. You may even have a slight smirk on your face. But then it hits you: what did it mean?

And your mind starts to work on high speed to process all these new thoughts. Does she want to get back together? Did you say something wrong? A call like that can really stir up your mind, and usually be pretty confusing when you start thinking about it. In this post, I am going to give you some simple solutions to cope with these rather normal problems. What many guys are prone to do is to over-analyze things.

The ability to analyze like that gives us many strengths and opportunities, but it also has it downsides. As I said before, the energy you spend thinking about something is taken away from other tasks at hand.

Because when there is nothing more to addthey will most likely, unconscious about it, make something up. Ponder this question. In your prehistoric brain, sex is goood. Sex makes babies. Babies make you pappa. Pappa is goood. Pappa means passing on genes! Or maybe this force tells you that you have taken a dead end, and that you must go a few steps back to walk the new path.

Listen to yourself; listen to your heart. I know that I am threading on deep waters here, but I just thought that this simple advice can help some people, as it has helped me. The important thing is that it has no meaning; she could have had millions of reasons to contact you. Maybe she was struck by the thought that you were sick, maybe she missed you, maybe she felt alone or maybe she had an abundance of energy and had to use it on something … and the list goes on.

So I really want you to try to stop over-analyzing. As for the actual conversation, just be casual and friendly. If the conversation drags on, simply tell her that you have to go. No Contact Rule: How Long Should You Do It For?

Sure, there are reasons why people grow apart.I shaved before the first date, and she kept complaining about it. The other, I had some logistics problems with my car that made it difficult for me to drive to her, and she both complained about that, and refused to drive to me, or even half way. I left about 15 minutes after I arrived.

The clinger: After those last two dates, I publicly announced that I was taking a few months away from dating. This old friend from high school asked to hang out and commiserate as friends, but wound up trying to turn the situation romantic.

She spent the entire weekend attached to me, kept calling dibs on my time, and even though I was kind of blowing her off, tried to have the relationship talk with me.

Seemed good at first but it turned out I had to ignore or overlook too many little annoying things in order to enjoy my time with her. Sometimes you go into the first date blinded by desire, wishful thinking etc. As time goes your view of the situation clears up and you start seeing the problems. If there are too many red flags this will become apparent within a few dates and I decide to bail. On the second date she casually mentioned her husband. If she has bad hygene, seems stuck up, seems boring, lied about her appearance, then the date wouldnt go past 1.

If it goes to date 2, I usually think I see a little bit of possibility. But if I end it after that, its because I discovered that my suspicions were wrong. I just didnt feel a spark. She was a really cool person! We had an awesome date and then life sort of got in the way…scheduling conflicts and whatnot.

We kept talking for a couple weeks after the date but then we just sort of faded on each other. Aside from that, I just like my girl to be human, have a pulse, and sleep on the other side of the bed to me, and put up with my shit. Not really that picky. Almost as common. Was rude to the busboy, he dropped a fork or something on the floor while cleaning a table next to ours and she made some snide comment and then rolled her eyes and flinched every time he came by our table to help clear or serve plates.

For guys, it can often feel like they are submitting themselves for judgement on the first couple of dates. Instead, the early dates should be about having a good time together to see if you are compatible. She was a smoker. But she also had great tits, so eventually I went back for a 4th and 5th. That was it though. Kept talking about her ex. The big thing is just lack of chemistry. I went out with a girl who drank 11??? She asked me for a ride home but ended up just having me drop her off at her weed dealers house.I matched with him one night on Tinder, and we chatted briefly on the app before moving to texting, then to a date at a Spanish restaurant.

The more we hung out, the more my fondness for him grew. At the end of our very last date, though, something felt off. Disclaimer: I knew that. I'd been ghosted.

So, I agreed. A few weeks after he ghosted me, he started liking some of my Instagram posts. So one day, I purposely posted a picture I knew I looked good in, just to see if he'd like it don't you dare pretend you've never thrown down a thirst trap.

I expected him to ignore me, or maybe hit me with a "Haha sorry" because of how irrelevant I was to him. But, nope! Um, hold on. What kind of people did he think used Tinder? If he's normal, charming, attractive, and using Tinder, what made him think there weren't other normal, charming, attractive people using Tinder?

I felt a little foolish. And guess what? All of that information is also found on a Tinder profile!

Some nights, bars are packed with cute, intelligent guys. Some nights, they aren't. But you won't know until you walk in, take a look around, and start swiping. After much deliberation, I decided that "Tinderella" is, indeed, a compliment I was going wholeheartedly accept.

We texted and Snapchatted all the time. All of this meant I thought we were really connecting. This is known as the No Contact Rule. Maybe you really want him back and want to set yourself up for the best chance possible to get him back. Maybe your broke up with him and are looking for a way of getting over the relationship and moving on. Or maybe the truth is somewhere between wanting to rekindle an old flame and wanting to spark a new one.

The no contact rule is a set of guidelines to follow after you break up with someone. No contact means that under no circumstances are you to talk to him or attempt contacting him.

All in all, the no contact rule is exactly what it sounds like: having absolutely zero contact with your ex after a breakup. Well, it goes much further beyond that. The no contact rule is also about trying to do your best to not think about him and take space for yourself. If there are reasons out of your control that mean you have to be in contact with him, there are still ways of following the no contact rule.

In those situations, the best thing to do is limit any communication you have with him to a bare minimum. Keep your exchanges about exactly what you need to coordinate with him and nothing more. I repeat: nothing more. Do not talk about your personal lives, plans for the weekend, or even the weather.

If you stick to being strictly professional and deal with whatever circumstances keeps you in the same environment, you will be fine. Or more specifically, how long does it take for an ex to miss you with no contact? Some people disagree on the exact timeframe of how long to do no contact for. Or how long does it take a guy to realize he misses you? And even deeper: how long after a breakup is it really over?

Giving yourself a solid month of no contact gives you the space you naturally need to decompress and gain perspective on the relationship. And with that, it gives you the time to start healing a little bit. So, how long should you wait before contacting your ex? Anything shorter than 4 weeks is generally too short to really see any benefits of the no contact rule. It should be noted that if you want him back and start going longer than 4 weeks, you run the risk of him also moving on and finding someone new.

But that being said, you also run the risk of you moving on and meeting someone new too. But how long does it take for no contact to work if you were in a really serious, long-term relationship think more than 2 years?

In those cases, a longer contact rule is probably better for your mental health and wellbeing than a shorter one. How long no contact takes to work after the breakup depends on the amount of time you two were together. And if you were together for a really long time, consider going longer than 4 weeks. Think about the following: how long does it take for someone to miss you, that someone being a friend, relative or casual fling? There has to be enough time so that the other person can live their life without you.

When they have a taste of what their life is without you, then they can compare and contrast what it was like when you two were together. So this guy and I had our first date a little more than a month ago, and I thought it went great. We both said we wanted to see each other again sometime. Now fast forward a month later today, I randomly looked at my phone and I got a missed call and voicemail from him. He then said he wanted to know if I was free next week.

Should I take him up on his offer and hang out with him again? Ohhhhh girl, I hear ya.

And we deserve to. I would give him the benefit of a doubt, but I would pay a lot of attention on the next date as to how he makes you feel. Does he make you feel respected, or just desired?

It was likely a put off. It also makes you look desperate. Second, many men will SAY they want to see you again and never have any intention of doing it. It just alleviates and awkwardness at the end of the date….

OR he may have said it in the moment because he felt that way but then changed his mind after the fact. He could also have been dating other women. At this point, its up to you if you want to see him.To submit your vote please sign in or sign upit is free and takes a few seconds.

The reason why he dumped me over text message was because he told me that we can't be in a relationship unless we have sex. After he dumped me over text, he hasn't been texting me as much as he used to and I haven't seen him since May.

After having 1 month of no contact with him he recently texted me saying that he misses me and he told me that he misses how close we used to be. He also told me that he wants to be friends with me and he wants to hang out with me again. Why would he want to be friends with me and hang out with me after he dumped me over text message in May?

Is it a bad idea to be friends with him after what he has done? How should I deal with this? Last edited by beachlover96; at PM. If you want more than friendship then friends won't work. It's really that simple. He is hoping you changed your mind about sex. Dont lower yourself to his level. It's nothing special. Just about every guy I ever dated contacted me within the first year, whether I dumped them or they dumped me.

I never bothered with any of them. If I dumped them, it was for a really good reason and I'd rather try with someone new than risk my heart on someone who didn't meet my needs in the past. If they dumped me, I predicted they'd repeat the dumping once the newness wore away again.

Reading between the lines, the guy wants to see if you're so gaga about him that maybe he can get you in the sack without any strings.
